Library synopsis: This film was the last directed by . A weird blend of Jules Verne (Price is the Nemo-like ruler of a subterranean city off Cornish coast) and Edgar Allan Poe (Price kidnaps Hart, believing her to be the reincarnation of his dead wife), the film is nonetheless mounted as an adventure film, replete with feeble comic interludes. The result is all too predictable with Hunter and Tomlinson rescuing Hart just as the city explodes. Written by Phil Hardy
