Contents info and guidelines

DBCult Film Institute studies and focuses on Cult Cinema, which is why all documents published in this website contain as much information as possible and  two assessment systems: an internal (Cinegram) and one for the user.

Movie Database:

It includes an extensive archive of Cult Cinema which is constantly updated and represents movies that are considered “Cult” by the authors, publishers and the international community.

The Movie-Cards include an initial overview, an extensive photo gallery, related videos, internal links, a basic and an additional card that contains all data related to the film. Particular emphasis was given to the data Box office / Business, Censorship visa, Discography / Soundtrack listing and Bibliography. These data are often unavailable or broken down from other sources. After many studies and research, we have made sure to enclose as much information as possible in one single card.

Publication Database:

Book (bk), Comics (cm), Fanzine (fz), Magazine (mg), Photonovel (pn), Newspaper (np).

This is about a guided representative of professional and fan publications that are of historical importance, because of this they have fundamentally contributed to the dissemination of information about Cult Film, especially in the decades in which the publishing industry were struggling  to reach readers and did not have resources and adequate funding. This material is often unavailable, but this database contains a very representative handbook  that  provides guidance to anyone who is interested.

It is obviously impossible to publish all the material, so we apologize for having made an indicative selection, inevitably excluding other publications.

Printed Media:

Article, Dossier, Interview.

This is the literary section. The artists and films that are part of the world of Cult Cinema are here represented by Dossier, Articles and Interviews that were built in the golden age in which this type of film were produced. Thus, these literary content were made by the first author and specialist publishers just like those past pioneers, now we pass on the immediate feelings and faithfulness, using the fascinating language of that period and writing about films often contemporary to the publications themselves. However, this section also includes works by some critics for today DBCult Film Institute.
