A Pain in the Pullman Synopsis
The Stooges are small-time actors traveling by train to an engagement. Along with their pet monkey, they manage to spoil the trip for quite a few of the other passengers, including the conductor and a big movie star. Eventually their antics get out of hand and they are tossed off the train.
Mongrels Synopsis
It opens with a skit on the war, a French poodle with a bone, while the orchestra plays "Oh, Frenchy," and then the German dachshund coming to take it away and the poodle going to look for John Bulldog and then the American terrier coming into action with "You're a Grand Old Flag." Then the real story of the comedy starts and it is truly a laugh ever moment.
"A Pain in the Pullman" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Mongrels" offers its own unique cult appeal.
