Die Fledermaus is a 1931 Franco-German musical film directed by Karel Lamac and starring Anny Ondra, Georg Alexander and Oskar Sima. It is an operetta film based on the 1874 stage play Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss.
Songs of Scotland Synopsis
A Scots lass parts regretfully from her lad as he goes to make his mark in the world. The lad meets an old man who warns him against leaving his beloved. He returns to her and they are married. Then the old man, who loves the girl's mother, asks that she be his wife. Thereafter another marriage is arranged.
"Die Fledermaus" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Songs of Scotland" offers its own unique cult appeal.
