La crise est finie Synopsis
Diverting Parisian operetta on a topical subject, fancifully handled and helped both in the direction and by the performances of Albert Prejean and Danielle Darrieux in the leading roles.
His Royal Slyness Synopsis
An American book salesman (Lloyd) is persuaded to go to the kingdom of Thermosa to impersonate the Prince. He is greeted by a peasants' revolt before the real prince shows up to claim his throne and princess. The revolution succeeds, and the American is elected president of the new republic.
"La crise est finie" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "His Royal Slyness" offers its own unique cult appeal.
