Sweethearts and Wives Synopsis
Sweethearts and Wives is a 1930 American Pre-Code mystery film with comedic elements produced and released by First National Pictures, a subsidiary of Warner Bros., and directed by Clarence G. Badger. The movie stars Billie Dove, Clive Brook, Sidney Blackmer and Leila Hyams. The film was based on the play, entitled Other Men's Wives, by Walter C. Hackett.
Through the Wrong Door Synopsis
A young woman goes to visit friends but mistakenly rings at the wrong address. She is greeted and taken in out of the storm by a handsome young man to whom she is immediately attracted. What she does not know, however, is that this young man has been fleeced by her father and has sworn vengeance against him.
"Sweethearts and Wives" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Through the Wrong Door" offers its own unique cult appeal.
