The Dancer of the Nile Synopsis
A tyrannical Egyptian princess falls in love with Karmet, prince of Syria, who loves Arvia, a dancing girl. The princess orders Arvia killed, but the dancer's father, a high priest, saves her for Karmet. The princess overcomes her disappointment and succumbs to the advances of Prince Tutankhamen.
Within the Law Synopsis
Mary Turner is a young shopgirl who is unjustly convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison. Upon her release, she does everything possible to make the man who wronged her to suffer, always taking care to stray no further than the extremes of the law allow.
"The Dancer of the Nile" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Within the Law" offers its own unique cult appeal.
