In late nineteenth century Alfred Dreyfus, a French army officer of Jewish heritage, is falsely accused of espionage. Found guilty of treason he is drummed out of the army and sent to prison on Devil's Island.
Das Laster Synopsis
About alcoholism, which can develop into a terrible family tradition. Paul is the son of a drinker. One day his father is killed in an inn. Despite the bad example set by his father, Paul is also unable to give up alcohol.
"The Dreyfus Case" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Das Laster" offers its own unique cult appeal.
