The Girl in the Taxi Synopsis
John Stewart considers his son Bertie a mollycoddle. Refused an increased allowance, Bertie pawns his father's best clothes and while hiding in a waiting taxi is suddenly whirled away with a strange, beautiful young lady. Later, Bertie recognizes her at a party at his house, and meeting her for lunch he gains his father's esteem. Matters are complicated by the intervention of the lady's husband, Major Smith.
A Child of the Paris Streets Synopsis
When the son of a leader of a Paris underworld family known as The Apaches is arrested and tried in court, the boy's mother asks the judge for mercy, but he refuses. In retaliation, the family kidnaps the judge's young daughter and raises her to be one of their own, schooling her in the ways of crime. One day she steals a valuable pin from a young American artist; he catches her, but an attraction develops between them--and her "Apache" family is not happy about it.
"A Child of the Paris Streets" is currently leading in ratings, making it a stronger choice for newcomers to the genre.
