The Kat's Meow Synopsis
Working in a speakeasy isn't proving profitable to Krazy, who has to shorten his cash register in the opening scene. His Minnie-Mouselike girlfriend is easily coaxed away to a goat customer who seems to have nice baubles. Krazy sobs out a stanza of "BROKEN HEARTED" at his keyboard. Suddenly, a gun toting robber comes in and starts to shake down the customers, with the aid of a vacuum cleaner. Krazy and his piano go into action, and subdue the thief, wrapping him in a bullet-hole ridden table cloth that becomes a player piano roll, playing "YOU ARE THE CAT'S MEOW".
Lunatics in Politics Synopsis
Two female candidates for Chief of Police live across the hall from each other, and their political rivalry follows them home, leading to plenty of hi-jinks.
"The Kat's Meow" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Lunatics in Politics" offers its own unique cult appeal.
