The Keeper of the Bees Synopsis
A traumatized World War I veteran, believing that he's living on borrowed time, meets an old man called Bee Master and his protege, Little Scout, who try to convince him that he has more to live for than he thinks he does.
Diane of the Follies Synopsis
Phillips Christy, a strait-laced amateur sociologist from a wealthy family, subscribes to the theory that people are shaped by their environments. When he fall in love with Diane, a showgirl from the Follies, he sees a chance to prove that his theory is correct: he will marry her and mold her to be "cultured" and "sophisticated." However, fate intervenes to put a crimp in his plans.
"The Keeper of the Bees" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Diane of the Follies" offers its own unique cult appeal.
