Actually a 1918 French movie, L'Ame du Bronze, that Houdini's company picked up for USA distribution. Losing his fiancée, Nanette, to French Capt. Duval Van Jean, Jacques, an engineer in a large gun factory, cannot contain his jealousy.
Haldane of the Secret Service Synopsis
Heath Haldane (Houdini) tracks down a vicious gang of counterfeiters, narrowly missing death several times. He must rescue Adele Ormsby, whom he loves despite her pending marriage.
"The Soul of Bronze" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Haldane of the Secret Service" offers its own unique cult appeal.
