Ugokie kori no tatehiki Synopsis
A farmer walking in the woods is frightened away by a shapeshifting fox, who then disguises himself as a samurai and makes his way to a temple, haunted by a young shapeshifting tanuki whose various attempts to frighten the fox/samurai away fail. The young tanuki telephones his father, and they join forces against the samurai.
Down the Mississippi Synopsis
The simple story is about two siblings, little brother Bud and big sister Susie. After they've been reading "Huckleberry Finn" they dream of adventures on the Mississippi River.
"Ugokie kori no tatehiki" holds a slight edge in general audience appreciation, but "Down the Mississippi" offers its own unique cult appeal.
