Biography
A Pennsylvania entrepreneur-turned-preacher, Charles Taze Russell stepped into cinema history twice in 1914: he masterminded the sweeping multimedia sermon “The Photo-Drama of Creation,” an early color-sound spectacle that packed theaters with Bible slides and moving images, and that same year appeared on-screen himself in Mutual Weekly, No. 57, sealing an unlikely cameo for the traveling pastor inside newsreel immortality.
