Biography
St. Louis, February 13, 1864: the day Edwin Arden first drew breath, already rehearsing for a life under the lights. By 1914 he was chasing peril alongside Pearl White in The Exploits of Elaine, then swapping cliff-hangers for poetry as the wandering hero of The Beloved Vagabond and the lawman hunting secrets in The Eagle’s Nest—three one-reel sensations that sealed his screen reputation. Off-camera he directed, shaped scenes, and shared his world with wife Agnes Ann Keene. The final curtain fell on October 2, 1918, in Queens, New York, but the flickers of his performances still spin through the dark.
