Born in the Hérault region on September 4, 1879, Étienne Arnaud emerged from Villeneuve-les-Béziers to become a pioneering architect of early cinema. As a gifted director and writer, he delivered silent-era staples such as 'The Letter with the Black Seals' (1912), 'Little Hands' (1912), and the 1914 production 'The Dancer and the King.' Alongside his wife, Yvonne Serand, Arnaud navigated the burgeoning film world until his life reached its final chapter in Paris on March 10, 1955.
