Biography
Harry Jackson first drew breath in 1863, a birth year that placed him at the frontier of the moving-picture revolution. Before the camera he found a second home, directing and performing in the one-reel whirlwinds *York State Folks* (1915), *Ballads and Bologna* (1917) and the case-of-mistaken-identity farce *The Wrong Mr. Fox* (1917). Off-screen, he shared his life with Kate Jackson, his wife and most trusted collaborator. Nearly a century after the flickers first lit his face, he took his final bow in New York City on 27 May 1923.
