Biography
April 1863 found Addie Dunant drawing her first breath amid the rolling hills of Washington County, New York. Onstage she lit up early‐20th-century footlights, most memorably as the spirited leading lady of the 1915 screen hit David Harum. Off-camera, she shared her life with fellow performer Charles Eldridge. Her final curtain fell on 20 August 1914 in Brooklyn, the same city that had long applauded her talent.
