Biography
Emerging from Brenham, Texas, in 1857, Adella Barker eventually found her calling on the silent screen. She is recognized for her contributions to early cinema, most notably in the 1916 productions of Romeo and Juliet and Hypocrisy, as well as the 1918 film The Unchastened Woman. After a career spanning the formative years of the industry, she passed away in Amityville, New York, on September 29, 1930.
