Biography
Piedmont, 1889: a mountain-breeze spring welcomed Adriana Costamagna into the world, and within two dozen years that same wind carried her to the nascent Italian cinema. In 1912 she stepped before the cameras for La Salome, followed swiftly by The Fugitive and A Fight to Death, both released in 1913—three silents that still whisper her name.
