Biography
Agnes Lorentzen first drew breath on a Copenhagen winter morning, 21 February 1874. Before the silent era dimmed, she stepped before the camera, gifting the screen a restless lieutenant’s laughter in Den glade løjtnant (1912), a tarnished reputation in Unjustly Accused (1913), and circus spotlights in Manegens stjerne (1912). Off-set she shared her surname—and her life—with Aage Lorentzen. She exited the world’s stage on 23 December 1947, leaving only those flickering images to speak for her.
