Biography
On 27 March 1876, Ontario welcomed Arthur Henry Busby into the world; by the time the province bid him goodbye on 13 March 1922, he had left flickers of himself on early celluloid. His face surfaces in the one-reel splendor of When Rome Ruled (1914), drifts through the pastoral patriotism of Under Southern Skies (1915), and lingers along the melodramatic currents of The River of Romance (1916). Toronto, the city that first cradled him, ultimately closed the curtain.
