Biography
Born in 1868, Aleksandr Kheruvimov stepped before the camera in the twilight of tsarist Russia, lending his presence to the Yuletide fantasy *Noch pered Rozhdestvom* (1913), the brooding *Drakonovskiy kontrakt* (1915), and the haunting swan-song *Umirayushchiy lebed* (1917). His final curtain fell in December 1931.
