Biography
Alf Nielsen entered the world on 4 November 1883 and spent the next eighty-eight years turning silence into spectacle. In front of the camera he became the ticking menace of I sidste Sekund (1913), behind it he unleashed the shadowy toll of Dødsklokken (1914), and between both roles he reinvented literary villainy in Den ny Rocambole (1917). The curtain fell for the last time on 14 February 1971, leaving three early-century gems that still whisper his name through flickering light.
