Biography
Copenhagen greeted Alix Aase Ayoé Alber on 22 March 1905, and before she had barely learned to read, the silent screen had already claimed her: at eight she lit up Et Syndens Barn (1913), followed a year later by the shadow-drama The Hostage (1914). The cameras soon stopped rolling, but her story continued for another seven decades; she slipped away quietly on 11 February 1983, leaving only those flickering frames to speak for a lifetime.
