Biography
A Colorado spring gave Alpheus Lincoln to the world on 16 April 1891, when Denver’s mountain air first filled his lungs. By the silent era’s height he had slipped before the camera, etching early film memory as the driven lover in *The Master Passion* (1917), the relentless lead of *Determination* (1922), and the temporarily traded spouse in *Borrowed Husbands* (1924). Fifty-one years after his screen debut, Los Angeles closed his curtain on 22 May 1970, the Pacific sunset replacing the klieg lights that once found his face.
