Biography
Before microphones could steal a voice, Annetta Ripamonti lent hers to the flicker of silver screens. In 1914 she stepped into The Magic Note, a silent spell that still hums in film archives. Two years later she was robbing clouds as the sky-bandit’s accomplice in Il predone dell’aria, and by 1917 she was surviving Battaglie della vita—three roles, three pulses of early Italian cinema, all without uttering a single audible word.
