Biography

Aris Maliagros was a Greek tenor and stage actor renowned for portraying aristocratic characters with elegance and distinction. Often recognized by his trademark monocle, he began his theatrical career in 1914 and became a prominent presence in both musical and dramatic roles. Trained at the Lotner Conservatory and the National Theatre School, he appeared in classic plays such as The Miser, Hamlet, King Lear, The Tempest, and The Taming of the Shrew, as well as operettas and contemporary Greek works. His long-standing association with the National Theatre of Greece included roles in The Acharnians, The Star of Seville, and The Pleasure of Honesty. He was awarded the Gold Cross of the Order of the Phoenix for his contribution to the arts.
