Biography
Seventh of April, 1883: the curtain rose on Arthur Allardt’s life in the middle of Manhattan’s ceaseless bustle. From those city streets he stepped onto film sets, lending his presence to the 1917 morality tale A Man’s Man, slipping into the bayou shadows of Louisiana two years later, and unraveling frontier secrets in The Hidden Children the same year. The cameras stopped rolling in 1940, taking the quietly magnetic actor with them.
