Biography
Stockholm pulsed with spring on 18 April 1882 when August Falck first drew breath. Within three decades he had stepped before the camera, gifting silent audiences a tormented Jean in Fröken Julie (1912), a haunted protagonist in Et Syndens Barn (1913) and a man revisiting his past in Et Gensyn (1914). Off-screen he shared his life with actress Manda Björling, his steadfast partner until death quieted him on 16 April 1938, two days shy of his fifty-sixth birthday.
