Biography
Augustus Collette stepped before the camera just as the silent era was finding its stride, anchoring two now-ghosted one-reelers: 1914’s Over Niagara Falls, a brisk plunge of melodrama shot within sight of the thundering cataract, and 1916’s The Coward’s Code, a morality tale that let him test the limits of on-screen guilt. Then, almost as quickly as he appeared, the reels stopped turning on his name.
