Before talkies took over, Bernard Vaughan etched his name into the flickering silence of early cinema: he traded velvet collars with Mary Pickford in Little Lord Fauntleroy (1914), navigated the scandalous marriage of The Second Mrs. Tanqueray (1916), and cranked up the volume for the pioneering musical Rock of Ages (1918).
