Biography
Betty Johnson first stepped in front of the camera at the age of four, stealing scenes in the 1914 ghost-hunting romp *The Ghost Breaker*. Three years later she resurfaced as the title waif in 1917’s *The Lonesome Chap*, trading spectral thrills for teary-eyed melodrama. After a brief hiatus she bounded back into the spotlight in 1937, this time as a spark-plug juvenile in the revue-style showcase *New Faces of 1937*, proving that two decades in pictures hadn’t dimmed her bounce.
