Biography
Sherbrooke, Quebec, welcomed Billy Noel into the world on 27 June 1890, and from that modest Canadian cradle he stepped onto screens still wet with ink. Within three whirlwind years he slipped into three very different shadows: the raucous nephews of Labrador (1913), the labyrinthine twists of The Million Dollar Mystery (1914), and the smoke-wracked corridors of A Seminary Consumed by Flames that same year. When the final curtain fell, it fell in New Rochelle, New York, on 13 August 1969, sealing a lifetime of early flickers into enduring silence.
