Biography
Blanche Ring entered the world on April 24, 1877, but she waited until mid-life to explore the burgeoning world of cinema. At age 38, she made her motion picture debut in the 1915 production THE YANKEE GIRL. Her filmography remained select, featuring only two subsequent roles: 1926’s IT'S THE OLD ARMY GAME and, nearly two decades later, 1945's HAVING WONDERFUL CRIME. Ring’s long journey concluded in Santa Monica, California, where she passed away on January 13, 1961, at the age of 89.
