Biography
Copenhagen welcomed Bodil Hartvig on 28 August 1893, and by 1912 she had stepped before the camera as the spirited aristocrat in *The Blue Blood*. Two years later she returned to the screen for *Balleteusens hævn*, sealing her place among Denmark’s earliest film voices. She left the stage for good on 27 October 1952, but the flicker of her two surviving performances still lights the birth-cinema archives.
