Boleslaw Folanski

Biography

Actor, singer, director. In the years 1892-95 he studied at the ballet school in Warsaw, and in the years 1895-1901 he was a chorister of the WTR Opera. In the years 1901-39 he performed in the musical theaters of Bydgoszcz, Czestochowa, Kraków, Lviv, Poznan, Warsaw and Vilnius. After the war, he directed theaters in Kraków and Lódz, and from 1948 until his death he was a full-time director of the Silesian Opera in Bytom. Buried in the Cemetery at French Street in Katowice.
