Biography
A São Paulo dawn broke in 1907, and with it arrived Carlos Xavier—future face of Brazilian silent cinema. At barely seven years old he stepped before the cameras for O Crime dos Banhados, sealing a place in history as the child who helped launch Brazil’s film industry.
