Biography
A winter baby delivered in the Colorado snow on 26 January 1904, Chandler House grew up to splice stories in the cutting room and step briefly in front of the camera. His editorial scissors shaped television’s The Gertrude Berg Show (1961), while his on-screen presence flickered back to the silent era in The Girl from Everywhere (1927) and even earlier to cinema’s youth in Macbeth (1916). Eighty-some years after that first mountain sunrise, he drew his last breath on 17 March 1982 in Westminster, California, leaving behind a slim but telling footprint on both sides of the film reel.
