Biography
Before Charlie Chaplin had even slipped into the Tramp’s boots, Charles E. Bunnell was already flickering across nickelodeon screens. In 1914 alone he survived both the sword-and-sandal intrigues of *When Rome Ruled* and the comic chaos of *Bungling Bunk's Bunco*, then traded slapstick for melodrama two years later, facing the scandal-soaked doom of *Madame X*.
