Biography

Hailing from London, England, where he was born in 1859, Charles Marriott journeyed to the heart of the burgeoning film industry to leave his mark as an actor. He is best remembered for his contributions to the silent era, specifically his roles in the 1915 film 'It's No Laughing Matter' and the 1916 production 'The Tongues of Men.' His final screen credit came with 'Betty and the Buccaneers' in 1917, the same year his life came to a close in Los Angeles, California, on December 7.
