Between 1912 and 1917 he breathed life into three surviving relics of the silent era—The Woman in White, The Celebrated Case, and the biblical epic The Chosen Prince, or the Friendship of David and Jonathan—each frame a whisper of his fleeting stardom. Off-camera he doubled the vow, marrying first Hazel H. Eldridge and later Louise Hall.
