Biography
Charlotte Ives arrived in the world on 27 November 1891 and stepped before the camera during the silent era’s wildest bloom. Between 1915 and 1917 she slipped into three very different skins: a royal look-alike in The Dictator, a pawnshop prince, and a battlefield of desire in The Warfare of the Flesh. Six decades later the curtain fell—September 1976—leaving only the flicker of those early reels to speak for her.
