Biography
Born beneath California sunshine on 24 March 1892, Chief Eagle Wing carried his Lakota name onto silent-era sets, animating the flicker with stoic magnetism. Between 1913 and 1925 he slipped into three very different skins: the wily strategist of An Indian Maid's Strategy, the defiant renegade of The Redskins and the Renegades, and the towering title force in The Power God. When the projectors finally dimmed, he settled in Nevada’s high-desert quiet, closing his eyes for the last time in Humboldt on 14 October 1964.
