Biography
Virginia, 1864: the year Clarence Harvey first drew breath, and the stage quietly gained a future storyteller. By 1914 he had stepped in front of the camera for The Chimes, then spun the moral coils of Charity two years later and, in 1917, charted the solitude of A Woman Alone. Between these early flickers he also sharpened his pen, trading the spotlight for blank pages whenever the story demanded. Harvey’s final curtain fell on 3 May 1945, the lights of Manhattan his last audience.
