Biography
A July baby of 1867, Clifford Pembroke first drew breath in the market town of Narberth, Pembrokeshire, where the Welsh wind scoured the coast and his future lay waiting in footlights. By the twenties he had stepped before the cameras, lending a weathered presence to Irish Destiny (1926), The Flame (1920) and, earlier, the 1917 one-reeler Love’s Old Sweet Song. Thirty-three winters after his银幕 debut, he closed his final scene in St. Pancras, London, on 20 January 1933.
