A spring baby born in Orange, New Jersey on 27 April 1874, Constance Adams grew up to trade garden-state quietude for the hiss of klieg lights. Two appearances sealed her name in flicker-fame: the 1914 frontier tale *Where the Trail Divides* and a breezy 1923 cameo in *Screen Snapshots, Series 4, No. 7*. Off-screen, she stepped into history as the wife of cinematic titan Cecil B. DeMille.
