Biography
Born among the orange groves of California on 11 January 1884, Corinne Grant stepped from quiet San Joaquin Valley classrooms into the klieg-light glare of early Hollywood. Between 1917 and 1918 she slipped into three now-cult silents—The Neglected Wife, Who Is Number One?, and The Lady of the Dugout—each role sealing her place as one of the era’s under-sung leading ladies. Off-screen she shared her life with Theodore Fulton, her steady anchor amid the flicker of fame. Nearly nine decades after her first close-up, she drew her final breath in Los Angeles on 30 March 1970, leaving behind a brief but indelible strip of celluloid history.
