Biography
Emerging from Quebec’s St. Francis Indian Village on September 20, 1861, the man known as Dark Cloud became a pioneering force in early Hollywood. As both a compelling actor and a gifted writer, he helped shape the silent film landscape through his contributions to The Dishonored Medal (1914), What Am I Bid? (1919), and The Woman Untamed (1920). Though his personal life was anchored by his marriage to Margaret Camp, his professional path drew him to the bright lights of Los Angeles, California. It was there, on October 17, 1918, that his storied career came to a close.
