Biography
Born in the copper-roofed town of Hedemora on 23 July 1884, Dave Anderson traded the pine-scented silence of Dalarna for the flicker of American silent screens. Between 1914 and 1920 he slipped from Oz’s patchwork prairies to barnyard chaos in Down on the Farm, with a detour through the smoky tables of A la Cabaret, juggling bit parts and second-unit chores with equal ease. Off-set, he claimed Anna A. Schafer as his lifelong scene partner. Anderson’s final curtain fell on 18 November 1950, waves lapping the Newport Beach shore as the California sun set on his reel of 66 years.
